Ceri Dupree at the White Swan: Saturday 30th September
Ceri Dupree at the White Swan last Saturday was a masterclass in showmanship from this brilliant and original entertainer.
This was old school glamorous drag, bawdy, naughty but with so much love and affection for the artists being impersonated, plus, of course, some amazing costumes. Ceri’s also a skilled comic with fabulous quips such as “Ten minutes in the same frock? Are you kidding?!” The putdowns where she targets an audience member are rude and very funny but not insulting and they loved it. The hysterical send up of Camilla Parker Bowles was the highlight of this two hour act that ended with his wonderful homage to Shirley Bassey.
