Halfway turns 26

This Sunday (12 Nov) the boys and girls at Halfway II Heaven will be celebrating 26 years of being a cherished gay destination. From 3.30pm the marvellous CK will be hosting a star-studded show including Mary Mac, Rose Garden, Baga Chipz, Mrs Moore, Lola Lasagne and the Vixens. Plus it’s also Remembrance Sunday so make sure you have your poppy. Happy Birthday gang!

Beard Aid at the RVT 

Thursday (9 Nov) at the RVT is Beard Aid when the chaps from BEEFMINCE team up with that one woman meat raffle Myra DuBois to raise money for THT and GMFA. 12 furry bears will be having their beards shaved off live on stage and you can support them by donating money. Plus there’s also a full live show from Myra and the BEEFMINCE DJs too.

Oi Brazil at Klub

Each weekend you can experience the Brazilian dream team of DJs at Klub, downstairs at Ku Leicester Square. Rodrigo, Kerol and Flaviano will be rocking the dancefloor while those bad boys behind the bar whip up something refreshing. Sorted.

Tailor-Made Man 

With its tale of bullying and sexual politics in Hollywood, could there be a more poignant play right now than Tailor-Made Man? It’s at the White Bear Theatre in Kennington, SE11. Tickets at whitebeartheatre.co.uk.

XXL Construction 

If the word ‘builders’ conjures up images of some dodgy bloke sucking his teeth and saying it’s going to be really expensive then you seriously need to get to Pulse this Saturday (11 Nov) for XXL Construction. The whole club will be packed with bears, blokes and hunks in high viz jackets asking if you need help with that erection! Plus you get amazing music from the team of DJs. Yes we flippin’ well can!

Michael Topping and DE at Brewers 

On Thursday night the team at the Two Brewers will be celebrating Michael Topping‘s cabaret career at a special event. Hosted by Son of a Tutu with Dave Lynn, Sandra, Maisie Trollette, Lola Lasagne and many more including special guest Scott Capurro. Then on Friday the cabaret madness starts with a special show from the DE Experience in the Club Bar from 8pm. Check the2Brewers.com for tickets for both events.

Battle of the Bars

Battle of the Bars is the multi venue karaoke contest and in London you can enter at Admiral Duncan, The Two Brewers, Halfway II Heaven and the Kings Arms. Check each venue for details and don’t forget that the eventual winner will get a whopping £2000 at the final.

Sum Ting Wong at the White Swan 

The fantastic Sum Ting Wong will be bringing her unique and very funny brand of cabaret to the White Swan in Limehouse this Saturday (11 Nov). And don’t forget there’s the Happy Hour every night from Tuesday to Saturday from 8pm to 11pm with some great drinks offers.

Sirens of The Silver Screen

Let’s Talk About Gay Sex & Drugs

The team from Let’s Talk About Gay Sex & Drugs are back for an open mic session this Thursday (9 Nov) at Klub, downstairs at Ku Leicester Square from 7pm. LTAGS&D is an open forum for anybody to talk about how they perceive sex and drug use amongst the gay male community of London and the theme this month is ‘connection’.
