Charlie Hides at the RVT

This Sunday (3 Dec) the original Transatlantic Dame, Charlie Hides, will be at the place he calls home, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, for Sunday Social. Spoiler alert: you can expect his laser-like wit to be turned on anything and everything in the news and on TV, plus some great songs and a wealth of impersonations. Plus on top of that you get brilliant music from the likes of Simon Le Vans, Liam Chaplin and Sean Sirrs. Marvellous.

Panto at Her Upstairs

Christmas is coming to Camden with the arrival of Dick and His Pussy at Her Upstairs – oh yes it is! Their first panto has been written by Gareth Joyner, he who stands just behind Myra DuBois, and stars a host of the Her gang including LoUis CYfer, Tracy Barlow, Cheryl Hole, Tayce, Herr, Ruby Wednesday and Mynxie Monroe plus a live by video link to Myra. It starts on Wednesday 6 December with tickets from the venue or skiddle.com.

Pam will be touching down at the Two Brewers on Sunday 17 December for her Birthday Flight to Xmas – tickets are on sale now at the venue and at the2brewers.com. Plus as if that wasn’t enough, Caroline Reid, the woman behind Pam, is bringing her outrageous brand new stand up show RAWR to the Leicester Square Theatre for four days from Wednesday 20 December. Tickets on sale at leicestersquaretheatre.com.

Cabaret at the G&D

As always there’s a bumper weekend of cabaret ahead from The Duchess and her minions at the George and Dragon in Greenwich. Friday (1 Dec) it’s Kelly Wilde and Saturday is Baga Chipz while on Sunday you get the triple threat of Sandra, Tanya Hyde and The Duchess. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Baga and Davina at the Old Ship

John and his team at the Old Ship will be welcoming Baga Chipz on Saturday (2 Dec) and Davina Sparkle to the stage on Sunday.

Stronger Together for Chechnya

The charity Living Without Prejudice has recorded and released a brand new version of the Sybil track Stronger Together to help raise much-needed cash for the victims of the Chechnyan anti-gay pogrom, including thousands of men thought to have been imprisoned and tortured because of their sexuality. The new version features Sybil, Sam Bailey, Angie Brown, Mary Kiani and more and is available to download now at iTunes and other sites.
