Seven Days: The RVT, XXL, Above The Stag, Ku Bar, Sweatbox and Mastery

The DE Experience at The RVT

Let’s be honest January can be a horrible month and we all need a pick me up to make sure we make it through to February. We can think of no better way to get those endorphins flowing than by a visit to Sunday Social this Sunday (21 Jan) at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern where the all-conquering DE Experience will be putting the world to rights as only she can with glorious songs and some hilarious banter. Plus you get amazing music from the likes of Simon Le Vans, Liam Chaplin and Sean Sirrs. Wahoo!

Bitches Down Under at ATS

This Thursday (18 Jan) sees the crew at Above The Stag Theatre in Vauxhall landing on a beach in Australia for Bitches Down Under, the latest in their Bitches comedy series. Think Carry On, but much camper and much naughtier. Tickets from abovethestag.com.

Sweatbox gym sale

Those lovely guys at Sweatbox know that at the start of the year money may be a tad stretched, so right now you can grab a year’s membership to this popular West End gym and sauna for just £350. Details at sweatboxsoho.com.

Fat Tony at XXL Lumberjack

This Saturday (20 Jan) scene legend and amazing DJ Fat Tony will be back at Pulse alongside the resident DJs for XXL Lumberjack. It’s time to get out your check shirts, hard hats and ripped jeans and spend your night looking for wood with your chopper in your hand!

Late night fun at Ku Klub

We know, you know that both Ku Leicester Square and Ku Soho are great venues for a fun drink -or three – after work but don’t forget that the gorgeous Klub downstairs at Lisle Street is open late every night. If you want to have a midweek dance or a late night weekend boogie then Klub is ideal, packed with a fun crowd, cool DJs and those eye candy bar boys.

Let’s Get Physical with Cybil

This Saturday (20 Jan) the marvellous Cybil will be coming over all Olivia Newton John at the White Swan in Limehouse to celebrate her 30th birthday. This latest Cybil’s House is the perfect excuse to get out the leg warmers and spandex with a fine class of performers, hosts and DJs. Get tickets via bjswhiteswan.com.

Mastery’s Birthday

If cigar smoking leather wearing daddies are your thing – and seriously how can they not be? – don’t forget this Saturday (20 Jan) is the super filthy Mastery 4th Birthday bash at the Backstreet in Mile End. It’s all about leather, rubber, smoking, SM and much more, so there’s a strict dress code.

Your Halfway weekend

The cabaret crazy kicks off in quality style this weekend on Friday (19 Jan) with cabaret legend Dave Lynn. Things get a tad more bonkers on Saturday when your line-up from 3pm includes Mrs Moore, Tanya Hyde and The Vixens at 10pm with DJ Justin Swift. Crystal and Kelly are back to finish you off in style with CK Sunday from 3.30pm.

Scooby Doo and the curse of ABBA at Her Upstairs

The year is only two weeks old and already we have a mash-up to beat them all. This Saturday (20 Jan) Cheryl Hole, Joseph Lycett Barnes, Mynxie Monroe, Ruby Wednesday, Tayce and Flynn Rideher  present Scooby Doo and the curse of ABBA at Her Upstairs in Camden. We can only guess and wonder. See you there!

There’s another money saving offer available now and this time it’s for yummy food. Grab that copy of last week’s Boyz that’s on the coffee table and tear out the advert on page 7 to get a whopping 50% off food at the scrummy Belgo in Soho and Holborn! T&Cs apply.
