The White Swan needs your help

The White Swan in Limehouse has been a gay venue for over 30 years, providing cabaret and great nights out out for the local and more widespread LGBT+ community. Following incidents of homophobic abuse from passing members of the public and even eggs thrown from cars at people using the outside smoking area, the venue put a 1.8 metre fence up around the area in place of the smaller fence that was already there. Unfortunately Tower Hamlets council are saying that this extended protection must come down until the applied for planning application is processed. Obviously the team at the Swan are worried for the safety of their customers and don’t want this to happen. They need Boyz readers, especially those who frequent the venue, to write to the council and local MP via them, to express their concern about this and say that the fence should stay. You can send an email to [email protected] and the Swan will forward it to the council.

Titti is back at the G&D

Saucy Jack at The RVT

Next Wednesday (7 Feb) and Thursday The RVT will be transformed into a dead-end, intergalactic-dive bar as Boyz Award-winning Two Box Productions present Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens. The show is a funk-strutting, glitter-boots-wearing, disco-extravaganza, that has been wowing audiences since its inception over 20 years ago, and the Two Box show is a great production. Tickets are on sale now at twoboxproductions.co.uk.

The Golden Girls at the Brewers

Once again they have taken a classic episode of the much loved TV show and added songs to be brought to life by Rose Garden as Dorothy, Tanya Hyde as Blanche, Stephanie Von Clitz as Rose and Mrs Moore as Sophia, plus a full supporting cast. Tickets on sale at the bar or at the2brewers.com.

Old Ship cabaret
