There’s just under a week left to have your say and cast your votes in the Boyz Awards 2018 as the poll closes at midnight on Tuesday 13 February. There’s loads of categories including theatre, film, community, charities, health and a set sponsored by DirtyBoyz. Plus, of course lots that reflect the scene, here’s some to help you decide and then all you have to do is go to archive.boyz.co.uk where you can vote in all or just some. Make your choices from the long lists we have complied.
Best Club or Club Night
Will XXL claim the crown again this year of will someone like Duckie, Sink the Pink or Cybil’s House be the champ?
Best Bar
This is for bars and clubs that are mostly non cabaret and last year the gang from Ku were the winners but maybe it’s the turn of The Retro Bar, The Duke of Welly, Comptons, Rupert Street or someone else this year?
Best Cabaret Venue
This is a big category with The Two Brewer and Halfway II Heaven locked in mortal combat for the past few years but watch out because The RVT, Her Upstairs, The Dunky and George and Dragon are also after the prize.
Best DJ
Pick your favourite tunesmith from bars and clubs and playing pop, R&B, house or anything! Last year it was Lady Lloyd, will she win for a third time?
Best Cabaret Act
This is a ferocious fight with with Charlie Hides stopping the tiara (there is no tiara) for the last two years but Mary Mac, Pam Ann, Myra DuBois, Baga Chipz, Vicki Vivacious and The DE Experience were all snapping at those heals.
Best New Cabaret Act
A whole new list for 2018, featuring some amazing new talent of every kind you can imagine.
Best Bar or Club Host?
Last year Joony Woo was king, and before that Chrissy Darling, but maybe this year it will be Any Lamé, Sum Ting Wong or Meth?
Best Bar Staff
We’ve change this category to best overall staff for 2018, so tell us where do you get the best bar service on the scene?
Best Pride or Festival
It’s been a battle between Pride in London and Brighton Pride for a long time, but there’s more to choose from than ever this year.
Boyz Awards Party
Thursday 22 February at the Two Brewers
The winners will be announced at a special party at the Two Brewers on Thursday 22 February hosted by Myra DuBois and Lola Lasagne and everyone is invited. The show will start at 9pm sharp.
