XXL is one of our favourite places to party on a Saturday night (better than all the rest), and it’s clearly one of yours too, as the night won Best Club at last week’s Boyz Awards for the third consecutive year. Here’s what’s coming up at the club over the few weeks. We’ll be at every one, obvs.
XXL Fetish
Saturday 10 March
XXL Fetish is back at Pulse next weekend for another sexy soirée. Expect a sea of bears, chunks and hunks dressed in chaps, harnesses, gimp masks and more as London’s kinkier bears hit this huge Saturday night in style. There’ll be music from resident DJs Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, David Robson and Joe Egg, and if you don’t fancy wearing leather or rubber feel free to come in a military uniform, wrestling singlet or just your jeans and dancing shoes.
XXL St Patrick’s Day and Mark Ames’ Birthday

XXL loves a double celebration and the first one of the year is always St Patrick’s Day and XXL owner Mark Ames’ birthday. It’s always a huge party too, where you can expect complimentary bar snacks and party food throughout the night, and a crowd of London’s finest Irish bears and blokes all up for a good craic.
XXL Construction
Saturday 24 March
The XXL team serves up another sexy night of hairy men in ripped jeans and sweaty vests towards the end of this month. It’s your chance to get up close and personal with some of London’s hunky manual labourers as they let their (body) hair down and party like there’s no work on site the next day. Music will be coming thick and fast too, from resident DJs Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, Joe Egg and David Robson.
XXL Lumberjack Easter weekend
Saturday 31 March
This year Easter weekend straddles (we love that word) the end of March and the start of April. But perhaps more importantly, the theme for XXL Easter on the Saturday night is Lumberjack, which is a particular favourite of XXL patrons as it gives them the opportunity to flex their guns in their best plaid shirts or shake their bellies while wearing nothing more than a pair of torn denim shorts. Expect all the best beats from resident DJs Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, David Robson and Joe Egg plus hoards of sexy men of all shapes and sizes.
XXL Bears ’n’ Cubs
Saturday 7 April
Every night is uber sociable at XXL (in some ways more than others, if you catch our drift…), but for its Bears ’n’ Cubs theme the friendly dial is turned to max when hairy bears and sexy cubs share a pint and make an extra special effort to connect. So if you’re after a silver fox, handsome DILF, older grizzly or cutesy cub to know in the biblical sense, you know where to head.
XXL Rugby
Saturday 14 April
We love a good scrum down at XXL and its ever-popular Rugby nights are the perfect opportunity to indulge in one of our favourite pastimes. Expect members from some of London’s best gay rugby clubs (yes, actual real rugby men!) to be working their thighs on the dancefloors of Pulse. This is the place to bag yourself a beefy rugger player, so don’t miss out.
