Seven Days: Halfway, Ku Bar, The Two Brewers, The RVT and more

St Patrick’s Day weekend at Halfway

This weekend the funky cabaret bunker that is Halfway II Heaven will be coming over all Irish as they celebrate St Patrick’s Day. The craic starts on Friday (16 Mar) with Mary Mac and then continues on Saturday, the big day itself, with Mrs Moore from 4pm, Rose Garden at 5pm and The Vixens at 10pm. On Sunday the massive St Patrick’s Day parade finishes in Trafalgar Square and always spills over into Halfway where at CK Sunday it’s Crystal and special guest Tanya Hyde belting out the hits.

Friday night at The RVT

There are two events this Friday (16 Mar) at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern – both are totally different and both look set to be amazing. Things kick off at 7pm with Disabled, Queer and Here with an array of disabled LGBTQ+ performers with sketches, performances and talks. And as if that wasn’t enough, those frisky bad boys from BEEFMINCE are back at 10pm for more club shenanigans and amazing music. Tickets for both via vauxhalltavern.com

St Patrick’s Day at Ku

Those cheeky chaps at Ku Bar will be saying A Hundred Thousand Welcomes To The Emerald Isle this weekend for St Patrick’s Day. All the venues will be transformed into gorgeous green palaces that make the Emerald City look on the dowdy side, plus you get Guinness, Magners Irish Cider, Jameson’s Whiskey and Baileys flowing at all Ku venues. And you get Irish born owner Gary will be selecting the best in Irish pop.

The Craft at Her Upstairs

We love the bewitching film The Craft and this Saturday (17 Mar) those bitches – sorry, witches – at Her Upstairs will be casting spells in a full show inspired by the film. You can expect magic of all shades from Mynxie Monroe, Ruby Wednesday, Margo Marshall, Tayce and special guest Herr.
