Roll Over Beethoven at the Two Brewers

Roll Over Beethoven is a fundraiser for the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at the Two Brewers this Friday (18 May) from 8pm until 10pm. Taking place during Deaf Awareness Week 2018, the benefit will include cabaret stars and more, either doing a fully British Sign Language interpreted turn or leading a short but informative ‘deaf awareness segment’ aimed at helping to foster better communication between hearing and non-hearing kin. Hosted by Sum Ting Wong and @JackSign, the night will feature LoUis CyFer, Tracy Barlow, Maria Hurtz and more as well as deaf fashion bloggers, Being Her and many others. Double DE at The RVT

Next weekend is the spring bank holiday weekend and that means one thing for sure – well two things, actually: you get a extra large double helping of the totes tasty DE Experience at the Boy Award-winning Royal Vauxhall Tavern. On Sunday 27 May there’s the extended session of Sunday Social with Edna and some amazing DJs, and then the very next day on bank holiday Monday it’s Anthem Retro Monday when The DE is back plus there’ll be more great tunes from the likes of Simon Le Vans, Andy Almighty and Sean Sirrs.

Femmetopia Festival 

Femmetopia Deeds Not Words is a six-day festival of art, performance and protest as intersectional queers, QTIPOC, radical femmes, fabulous freaks and allies join forces and stand together to shatter binary limitations into a million tiny shards under their high-shine stilettos. Ivy Paige at Underbelly 

On Wednesday 30 May, the amazing Ivy Paige, international showgirl, chanteuse and burlesque star, who you may have seen on The Voice, is bringing her brand new show, Seduction, to the Underbelly Festival. Beautiful Thing at the new Above The Stag

We are now just a couple of weeks away from the opening of the brand new Above The Stag Theatre in its gorgeous new location in Vauxhall on the Albert Embankment. The first play in the new building will be the special 25th anniversary production of the classic coming out story Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey, which runs from Friday 1 June for four weeks only.
