Your Two Brewers bank holiday weekend of XXL Bear Pride Ruggercub and world-class cabaret

This weekend it’s the spring bank holiday and there really is something for everyone at the cabaret mothership that is the Two Brewers in Clapham. You get club nights, classic pop stars, Drag Race, brilliant DJs, charity fundraisers and world-class cabaret. Here’s a look at what’s on the menu.

Lola Lasagne

Thursday 24 May, 5pm – 2am

OK, we know Thursday is not technically the weekend, but when the cabaret is Lola Lasagne then it really feels like it. The gorgeous Brighton belle will be mixing up the laughs and songs like only she can. Maybe you should book the Friday off work, just to be safe…

Ruggercub and XXL Bear Pride

Friday 25 May, 5pm – 4am

Thank feck it’s Friday, especially when the sexy rugger buggers from the Kings Cross Steelers team up with this weekend’s massive XXL Bear Pride for the launch night of the weekend. Not only do we get hot gay rugby players and a host of frisky bears, but also cabaret from our favourite tartan tart Mary Mac and a very special set from pop legend Katrina of the Waves, performing hits such as Walking on Sunshine, Love Leave a Light, Sun Street, Going Down to Liverpool and more. Plus don’t forget the screening of the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race at 9.30pm.

CK

Saturday 26 May, 5pm – 4am

CK is one of the most popular and cherished double acts on the UK scene and this is your chance to see why. You get laughs, songs, more laughs, skittle bombs drunk on stage and yet more laughs. Plus DJ Demon plays the pop hits and in the Club Bar it’s that sexy little tunesmith Chris Brogan delivering the funky house.

The Power of Four

Sunday 27 May, 5pm – 4am

There’s no work tomorrow – wahoo! For the bank holiday we not only get those cabaret kittens Miss Jason, Mary Mac and Sandra, but added to the bill is that one woman meat raffle, the unsinkable and unquenchable Myra DuBois, who will be adding her pithy social observations and ‘unique’ musical musings to the proceedings.

Pride in London Fundraiser

Bank Holiday Monday 28 May, 5pm – 2am

What better way to end the weekend than with doing something for a great cause and getting a world-class line up of cabaret for your trouble? Hosted by Miss Penny, this is the Two Brewers’ second Pride in London Fundraiser of the year and includes Miss Jason, Sandra, Tanya Hyde, Son of a Tutu, Heart & Soul, Sum Ting Wong, Lady Imelda and many more. It’s free entry before 6pm and a £5 donation after.
