The Yard Coventry’s 1st Birthday Street Party

In the words of David Bowie and Mick Jagger, ‘summer’s here and the time is right, for dancing in the streets…’ and this weekend offers the perfect opportunity for just that when The Yard Coventry marks its 1st birthday and Coventry Pride with a two-day street party celebration. On Saturday (9 Jun) you can expect guests including Sonique, Baby D, vocalist Coco Star performing the massive track Toca’s Miracle, plus Hollyoaks stars Kieron Richardson and Parry Glasspool, while on Sunday you get DJs on stage all day plus performances from Miss Marty and Stars In Their Eyes winner Jacquii Cann as Alison Moyet. Smile, march, drink and dance at Coventry Pride

This weekend sees Coventry Pride take over University Square opposite Coventry Cathedral for a weekend of fun, free, family-friendly entertainment from Saturday morning (9 Jun). Expect world-class entertainment from the likes of Nicky French, Corey Cooper, Amrick Channa, Freddy Parker, Dr Bev, Lloyd Daniels and many more across three stages. Zak Black debuts his Verve Couture at Proud Brighton

International showman Zak Black is back on UK soil and makes his debut in Brighton this Thursday (7 Jun) when he presents his Verve Couture variety show at the south coast’s Proud Cabaret venue. Expect everything from incredible vocalists, gymnasts and fire and ariel artists to burlesque, drag, big band song and character comedy. The Boy George Experience at Sundowners

Get ready for a night of all your favourite Culture Club songs when The Boy George Experience takes to the stage at Sundowners in Margate this Saturday (9 Jun). Expect hits such as Do You Really Want To Hurt Me and Karma Chameleon belted out from 11pm, followed by partying until 3am.

Sam’s your man at Essex Pride

Essex Pride lands in Central Park Chelmsford next weekend when a clutch of pop stars take to the stage on Saturday (16 Jun). Get ready for songs from Liberty X, former X Factor contestants Freddy Parker and Sam Callahan, and Simon Cowell’s bezzie Sinitta, plus Dolly Parton, Britney Spears and Spice Girls tribute acts. Bring On Tomorrow at York Barbican

Next month, on Sunday 8 July, an ensemble of stars will take to the stage at the York Barbican to celebrate individuality, diversity and equality, and raise money for the York LGBT Forum. Bring On Tomorrow will see international recording artist Beth McCarthy and West End performer Joseph Lycett-Barnes sing songs from musicals such as Gypsy, Rent and Hairspray, all introduced by hosts including Mr Gay Europe 2017 Matt Rood, Mr Gay Scotland 2017 Steven Whyte, and HIV activist Jonathan Blake.
