There’s no such thing as a typical week at the Boyz Award-winning Royal Vauxhall Tavern and this coming weekend is as brilliantly untypical as ever. The much loved venue is packed with cabaret of all kinds, club nights and much more – here’s a sneaky peek.
Dusty Limits
Thursday 14 June, 7pm – midnight
The gorgeous and debauched cabaret chameleon that is Dusty Limits presents the next instalment of his Absolute kUNST shows this Thursday. The line up includes performances from 94 year old ukulele player Trinity Vogue, international sword-swallower Snookie Mono and the fantastic Keith, plus Mr Limits himself of course.
Like A Sturgeon and Beefmince
Friday 15 June, 7pm – 4am
We love a Friday at The RVT, especially when they have not one but two amazing events on the same night. This Friday kicks off with the amazing Ripley and the latest in her Like A Sturgeon series called Fake News. Ripley takes the art of lip sync to new levels and her shows are the funniest political satire we’ve seen since Spitting Image. At 10pm it’s the turn of the cheeky chaps at Beefmince to rock our world with more amazing music and sexy club antics until 4am.
Duckie
Saturday 16 June, 9pm – 2am
There’s nowhere in London quite like Duckie at The RVT. You get the best in classy pop from DJ gods The Readers Wifes plus host Amy Lamé and Jay Cloth on the door. This Saturday there’s live entertainment from Ebony Rose and Urgent Icons.
The DE Experience at Sunday Social
Sunday 17 June, 3pm – midnight
Hold on to your handbags and brace yourself possums for the best snarl in the business, a bucketful of laughs and the loudest sing-along in town as the mighty DE Experience takes to The RVT stage once again. Sunday Social is a unique mix of brilliant club sounds from DJs such as Simon Le Vans, Liam Chaplin and Sean Sirrs, plus the always extraordinary Edna. Doors open at 3pm, The DE is on from 5.30pm and the party keeps rocking until midnight. It’s simply brilliant.
