Drag Idol Reporter; the semi final at Halfway II Heaven

Last week there were two totally jaw-dropping Drag Idol semi finals in London, where the second and third finalists were chosen to join Victoria Scone at the Grand Final at the Two Brewers on Friday 29 June.

The first semi final was at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on Thursday where host Son of A Tutu introduced six acts, all of whom were brilliant and totally different. After much debate the judges chose Vivianne Lynsey from Eden Bar in Birmingham as the winner, and Felix La Freak, representing Halfway II Heaven, as the runner up who goes forward to the Wild Card heat this Wednesday (13 Jun) at the Admiral Duncan.

The second London semi final was at Halfway II Heaven on Friday with Drag Idol supremos Crystal D’Canter and Kelly Mild introducing seven acts from across the country. In the end the judges chose Zayn Phalic from The RVT as the winner, and Kate Butch representing the Two Brewers as the runner up, who goes to the Wild Card, alongside Donna Matrix from Via in Manchester and Drag Idol committee choices Baby Ru, Pat Clutcher and Poppy Cock. The winner of the Wild Card will not be announced on the night but will be revealed in Boyz on the week of the Grand Final.
