Last Thursday night we were at a rammed Royal Vauxhall Tavern to witness a brilliant return by the act previously known as Bucks Fizz but now going under the name of The Fizz.
Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston were clearly as happy to be back as the audience was to see them judging by the smiles on their faces during a rousing opening of New Beginning. The audience gave each song an ecstatic reception and we got hits such as My Camera Never Lies, If You Can’t Stand The Heat, Land of Make Believe and a couple of new songs including the impressive single Amen. We sang along while the crowd went bonkers, especially for the inevitable, roof-raising encore of Making Your Mind Up, complete with the skirt-ripping routine. A brilliant night all round.
