Seven Days

Seven Days: XXL, Above The Stag, Ku Klub, The RVT and more

XXL Construction

Builders: love them or hate them, we’ve all had smutty thoughts about some bloke or other in cut off denims or sweaty overalls. This Saturday (28 Jul) the team at Pulse are coming over all ‘Yes we can!’ at XXL Construction when them bears and blokes will be working it on the dancefloor to guest DJs Moto Blanco and those hot residents.

P.H.A.T Club at Ku Klub

Thursdays are the new Fridays, especially at Klub, downstairs at Ku Leicester Square, because it’s now the new home to the amazing P.H.A.T Club each and every Thursday including this week (26 Jul). You get some fierce DJs, glamorous hosts, those bar boys and an out-of-this-world party crowd.

Click Grindr at ATS

If you’ve ever thought that the complicated world of ‘dating’ apps should really be set to music, and we have, then the team at Above The Stag in Vauxhall have got the answer. Grindr: The Opera is the brilliantly funny and visually exciting musical that features an ancient god of technology, Disney-style belters and songs about fellatio. It’s on until 26 August and we totally would. Book at abovethestag.com

Attention: hot bears!

The hairy blokes of the Midlands and their admirers are treated to Bears Night at Greenhouse Sauna Darlaston this Sunday (29 Jul). The fun runs from 11am until midnight and there’s a free buffet too. More details at gay-sauna.com

Clubbing at The RVT

This weekend there’s a fine selection of club nights on offer at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, kicking off on Friday (27 Jul) with Push The Button and their latest Kylie vs Dannii Minogue Referendum, spiked with hits, hits and more hits. Saturday was made for Duckie, as the song goes, and you get Amy, Jay Cloth, The Readers Wifes and the rest of the original bonkers bunch. We love it.

Brewers weekend

It’s all go this weekend at the Two Brewers and first out of the traps on Friday (27 Jul) is the one and only Lola Lasagne, while the boys from Backroom are having a Beachboy party in the Club Bar. Saturday sees the hilarious winner of the Best Newcomer at the Boyz Awards this year, KY Kelly, and the weekend climaxes on Sunday with the Power of Three wth Miss Jason, Mary Mac and Sandra.

DWNN is back at the Swan

If you want a quiet, refined evening then this Saturday (28 Jul) it’s probably best to stay away from Limehouse as the mighty Drag With No Name is back at the White Swan. She’s loud, tall, very funny and quite possibly mad, but we love her and so will you.

Why not start your weekend with the totes amazing Son of a Tutu making a very welcome return to the cabaret hotspot that is Halfway II Heaven on Friday (27 Jul). Saturday starts with Mary Mac at 4pm, followed by Rose Garden at 5pm and later on The Vixens at 10pm with Justin Swift. Plus don’t forget no weekend is really complete with a cheeky shot or six at CK Sunday from 3.30pm.
