Seven Days

Seven Days: Two Brewers, The RVT, Circa, Rupert Street and more

Ruggercub at the Brewers

This Friday (3 Aug) why not start your weekend with a host of frisky rugger types and some of the best cabaret in the UK. Ruggercub is the monthly club night from the Boyz Award-winning Kings Cross Steelers gay rugby team and it’s always a total hoot and a half. This Friday they are joined by cabaret superstar Mary Mac plus DJs Demon and Phil Marriott.

A full weekend at The RVT

There really is something for everyone at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern this weekend and it starts on Thursday (2 Aug) with The RVT Film Club and a Dynasty special as they screen classic episodes of the 80s super soap. Friday is those bonkers LipSinkers and Saturday belongs to Duckie, obviously. The weekend finishes in style with a special performance by the UK’s most evil cabaret delinquent, Tracy Barlow. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Kapow! Wham!

Margate funhouse Sundowners hosts a superheroes theme night by the seaside this Friday night (3 Aug), with prizes for the best fancy dress plus loads of giveaway goodies as well. Entry is free all night too – wahoo! Who will you go as? Captain Planet? Storm? Just send Green Arrow our way, cheers thanks.

And on Saturday (4 Aug) superstar singer and Icon Award nominee Allan Jay takes to the stage for a live show before the one and only Jacquii Swallows makes a welcome return to the Sundowners stage.

Double trouble at the Old Ship

If you like well behaved, demure cabaret then we suggest you avoid the Old Ship in Limehouse this weekend. On Saturday (4 Aug) it’s the outrageous and outspoken Miss Penny and on Sunday the even naughtier Cookie Monstar.

Happy Hour at Rupert Street

We love the Rupert Street bar, with its swish modern design, friendly bar staff that are quite easy on the eye and totes delish drinks menu. And as if all that wasn’t enough they have a Happy Hour that actually lasts for eight hours every day. Yep, you have from midday until 8pm to get two of their tasty cocktails for £12 or a bottle of champagne for just £25. See you there!

Get clubbing at Circa

The one thing in London that’s hotter than the weather is the sensational new Circa: The Club, open every Friday and Saturday night from 11pm until 4am. Not only do you get a gorgeous multi-layered venue but also some of the best house music DJs in town and a lively party crowd.

H2H takeovers

This weekend there’s a couple of bloodless coups happening at Halfway II Heaven starting on Friday (3 Aug) when Martha D’Arthur takes over your Friday. On Saturday it’s the turn of cabaret legend Bette Rinse and her Saturday Takeover with special guests and loads of fun, followed at 10pm by The Vixens. The weekend finishes with the relative normality of CK Sunday with Crystal and Kelly and a lot of laughs.

Your week at The Yard Coventry

Karaoke kicks off your weekend early at The Yard Coventry every Thursday night from 8pm, where there’s a free shot for every singer. On Friday (3 Aug) the fab Miss Marty takes to the stage for another cracking show, plus head there after work and you can grab some dinner too; the pizza is particularly good. While on Mondays there are super-low priced drink offers in the form of spirits and Jagerbombs at just £1.50 each, plus there’s dancing upstairs and a mega-late 4am closing time. Blimey.

Party down at the White Swan

This Saturday (4 Aug) the amazing DJ FKA is back at the White Swan following her glamorous globe-trotting exploits Down Under. She’ll be spinning up a perfect storm of hits and dancefloor fillers taking you through until the wee small hours.

Titti’s back at the George and Dragon

There’s amazing cabaret all weekend at the George and Dragon in Greenwich and this weekend we are heading down there on Friday (4 Aug) to see one of our favourites, the amazing Titti La Camp. If you think you know lip sync but haven’t seen Titti, then think again.
