Seven Days

Seven Days: XXL, The Two Brewers, The RVT and more

XXL House Classics

This Saturday (6 Oct) the team at XXL will be focussing on the music more than usual with a special night celebrating 30 years of house music. You can expect those brilliant resident DJ – Paul Morrell, Alex Logan, Joe Egg and David Robson – to be dropping in a fine selection of classics from 1988 to 2018, all of which will get those bears and blokes throwing shapes across the dancefloors.

Get to the Brewers!

We don’t want to alarm you, but the Two Brewers is closing! Don’t panic kids, yes after the Power of Three this Sunday (7 Oct) it is shutting, but only for two weeks while they have a refit. Before that you’ve got some great entertainment with Dave Lynn on Thursday (4 Oct), Ruggercub on Friday with Miss Jason, Sandra on Saturday and the final hurrah is the Power of Three with Jason, Mary Mac and Sandra on Sunday. The award-winning venue reopens on Saturday 20 October.

Fresh Meat at Eagle Bar Manchester

Fresh Meat is the super hot monthly party that’s back this Thursday (4 Oct) at Eagle Bar in Manchester. You get a gorgeous helping of pop and cert remixes from DJ Billy Andrew, there’s hot go-go boy Joe JP Dargie and the whole thing is hosted by the amazing Mickey Taylor. Wahoo!

Your Greenwich weekend

The Duchess never skimps on the entertainment at the George and Dragon in Greenwich and this weekend is another corker. On Friday (5 Oct) you get Dave Lynn and on Saturday it’s Titti La Camp while on Sunday you get three acts: Mary Mac, Sandra and Miss Jason.

This RVT weekend

As always there’s a host of tasty treats on offer at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern this weekend. Kicking off with the next David Hoyle Electric Cars on Thursday (4 Oct) followed on Friday by those manic crazy people The LipSinkers for more cabaret and club shenanigans. Saturday is all about Duckie, obviously, and Charlie Hides is at Sunday Social. Marvellous.

Indulge yourself at the Light Lounge

Next time you are swooning at the hot guys on both sides of the bar at Ku Leicester Square, don’t forget on Friday and Saturday you can pop upstairs to the beautiful Light Lounge. The swish cocktail bar has a mouth-watering drinks menu including some dazzling cocktails. And, every Saturday until the end of the year, it’s open ‘til 3am!

Friday and Saturday at Missing Bar

Missing Bar is the mega popular LGBT+ venue in Birmingham that has great stuff on every night of the week. Every Friday is Hitman and Her with DJ Mike Emery and drag host Gavina, while Saturday is Your Disco Needs You with the biggest and best in absolute anthems, dance classic and the biggest hits.

Whats on at Above The Stag

If you haven’t been to Above The Stag, the UK’s only full time LGBT theatre, in its sparkling new home on the Albert Embankment then what the hell is wrong with you? Right now there’s three productions on; Maurice is in the main space, while in the Studio you can see Kids Play and Happy Ending. Get details and tickets at abovethestag.com

Double trouble at the Old Ship

This weekend John and the gang at the Old Ship have a right pair of rascals climbing onto the Limehouse stage. On Friday
(5 Oct) it’s The Boy George Experience while on Saturday it’s the hilarious Mandy Gap.
