Next Friday (19 Oct) those mad but beautiful people from hot Spanish party TANGA! Party are back in London for another sensational event at The Grand in Clapham. This time the theme is the queen of pop herself, Madonna, and they have invited Eurovision sensation Eleni Foureira to perform. Dave Cross had a catch up with the Fuego singer to get the lowdown, and spoke to promoter Jakob Traxler as well.
Hi Eleni, are you excited to be coming to London to perform at the TANGA! Party?
Yes, I am very excited to come to London for the TANGA! Party. The crowd is truly amazing and I can’t wait to see everyone again.
Have you been to London before?
I was in London at the beginning of the summer for a show. I like everything in London except the weather, haha. The people are really great and they have really embraced my songs. I can’t wait to be back.
The TANGA! Party has a Madonna theme, are you a fan of Madonna and of the party?
Madonna is such a queen. No one else can really do what she’s done or doing. She has really shaped the music industry over the years and she is a true inspiration. And I am definitely a fan of TANGA! Party. We have done a few Tanga parties now and I only have good memories and experiences. Everyone is amazing. It truly feels like a family now.
What is your favourite Madonna song?
So many, I can’t choose just one.
We know you were already a star in Greece, why did you want to do Eurovision?
I’ve been watching Eurovision since I was really young and it’s always been a dream of mine to participate in the competition. It was an amazing experience; it’s crazy how many people watch you perform that night. Eurovision really opened a door for me in Europe and I truly hope that people will love my next songs as much as they loved Fuego.
Was it like you imagined?
I don’t think you can really imagine it until you experience it. It’s a crazy experience. Fulfilling, stressful, emotional, exciting, all at the same time. There’s not really one feeling that can describe it. I had loads of fun, I really enjoyed it and the result made the whole experience for everyone even better.
Has being in Eurovision changed your life?
Yes, of course. I am living my dream at the moment. Eurovision opened the door for me to really try and make something in Europe and the response from the audience has really been amazing.
What´s coming up next for you?
I am releasing my new song Toma Me next Friday and I will be performing it for the first time live at TANGA! Party in London the same day. I hope people will love as much as they love Fuego. I sure do!
TANGA! Party is the sexy, fun Spanish party that has already rocked our world this year with a Britney themed party and next Friday they are back at The Grand with some Madonna inspired madness. Dave Cross spoke to promotor Jakob Traxler for more hot gossip.
Hello Jakob, we are excited that you are coming back to London, how was the Britney party last time?
London and the crowd there have an unbelievable motivation to party and we can’t wait to be back. The last TANGA! Party in London with the Britney theme was a a great success and the upcoming one with Eleni Foureira as special guest is nearly sold out.
For those who don’t know, how would you describe TANGA! Party?
TANGA! Party is a pop music party that takes place in Barcelona, Madrid and London monthly. The purpose is that everyone has fun and enjoys an unforgettable night. TANGA! Party welcomes everyone and everybody who is open minded to have a happy time. We are celebrating life and diversity together.
What’s the music policy and who are the DJs?
Pop music. We live for it and that’s what you will get at TANGA! Party. Our hostess is DJ Mata, she’s the queen of TANGA! Party and transforms herself into Britney, J.Lo, Madonna or whatever you can imagine. Furthermore we have David Mix and Ferran Total who are not only the masterminds behind each Tanga theme but also the creators of the party itself.
Next Friday you have a Madonna theme, what can we expect?
Glamour, pop music, good vibes, unforgettable performances, hot dancers and Eleni Foureira.
Will Eleni sing a Madonna song?
Eleni is a dear friend of TANGA! Party and totally in love with London. When we asked her to join us for the TANGA! Party London she already said ‘Yes!’ before we could tell her all the details. Her show is stunning and packed with a lot of surprises. We don’t want to spoiler, but it’s going to be Fuego!
Why is The Grand such a good venue for you?
The atmosphere, the team behind the venue and the location, just to mention a few things. After the first visit we fell in love with The Grand and we still are. For us and the concept of Tanga the venue is just perfect and we are looking forward to have more events and parties there.
