Clapham creeps at The Two Brewers for Halloween!

There’s something for everyone – ghosts, ghouls, witches, monsters and zombies – at the newly refurbished Two Brewers this weekend and for Halloween itself. Expect chaotic cabaret, demonic DJs and even Harry Potter – sorry, Poppers…

The Launch Party – Friday 26 October, 5pm – 4am

OK, so technically not an actual Halloween party, but this is the big official launch party for the new look Brewers following its big refurbishment. Cabaret comes from head Scottish fairy, Mary Mac, and the amazing Alison Jiear, of I Just Wanna Dance fame, plus DJs Demon and Liam Chaplin will be spinning the hits.

Nightmare in Clapham fancy dress party

Saturday 27 October, 5pm – 4am

Saturday night sees the gigantic annual Brewers fancy dress party at the Clapham cabaret mothership hosted by the demonic duo, cover stars Crystal D’Canter and Kelly Mild. This will be a brilliantly scary night and there’s a whopping £300 for first prize and £200 second prize for the best costumes.

The Power of Four – The Brewers Family

Sunday 28 October, 5pm – 2am

There’s more than a whiff of the Addams Family about this special cabaret gathering at the Brewers on Sunday. The Power of Four features Miss ‘Jaundice’ Jason, Mary ‘Loch Ness Monster’ Mac and Sandra – she’s so scary she doesn’t need a special Halloween name. Plus they will be joined by South Yorkshire’s Grand High Witch, Myra DuBois, along with DJ Demon – someone else who doesn’t need a special name. Mwhahahahaha, etc etc…

Harry Poppers and the Deathly Swallows

Wednesday 31 October and Thursday 1 November

Two years ago those scary little witches at Two Box Productions wrote a totally original panto about a bespectacled boy wizard and his friends at a school of witchcraft and wizardry. Harry Poppers and the Deathly Swallows was a big hit, won a Boyz Award and has been a sell-out twice at Edinburgh, and now a slightly reworked version is back for two special shows for Halloween. It’s a very funny show with all your favourite characters, and definitely not from a mega successful book and film franchise…
