Are you ready for the Monster Bash this Friday at Pulse?

Your Halloween weekend gets off to a cracking start this Friday (26 Oct) when The Monster Bash steams into mega club Pulse with house, disco and tech music from DJs including The Menendez Brothers, Fat Tony, Tom Frankel and Matt Bogard plus others too. Here, co-promoter Nadim Aoun explains more.

Hi Nadim, how would you describe The Monster Bash in simple terms?

In simple terms? We’re taking you back to original club culture with an iconic venue as the setting, a brilliant music policy and the most extravagant hosts and performers. It’s so exciting to be bringing something like this to the scene.

Tell us about the team behind this party…

There are so many great people involved in this. Nicolas Montenegro and I came up with the idea and have been joined by some of the most creative people in the industry, from production designers to venue managers, to the talent, to Andrew Christian (our sponsors) and, of course, our friends at Ku Bar, who hosted our pre-party. We wanted to bring something fresh to the table and hope we’ve achieved that.

It’s at Pulse, but this is not a men only party is it?

It isn’t! We’re excited to be welcoming everybody through the doors this Friday. Not just that, we hope you all make an effort with dressing up for Halloween. I know I sure will, but don’t question me on that as I still don’t know what I’m wearing.

Can you talk us through the music policy and the DJs?

Spread over two rooms, we’ve been allowed to play around with this. We’re thrilled to be offering a main room sound of everything from disco right the way through to electronic, the sounds really dominating the mainstream music scene now. Room 2 will be big room vocal house. Headliners The Menendez Brothers have played everywhere from Elrow to Ministry of Sound and hold a residency at Rinse FM. Scene icon Fat Tony joins as do Matt Bogard, Massimo Paramour, Tom Frankel and Australian DJ Neroli. It’s all very exciting.

What else can we expect on the night?

What can you not expect?! Not only do we have acrobats, spooky performers and actors putting on shows constantly, but there’ll be OTT Halloween production (because who doesn’t love a cobweb?) an award-winning glitter station and even our own Little Shop of Horrors.

What else do we need to know?

The more weird and wonderful the better! It’s a marathon, open from 11pm until 6am, but with so much happening through
the night we suggest getting down early. You won’t want to miss a minute.

The Monster Bash is at Pulse, 1 Invicta Plaza, Southbank, London, SE1 9UF.
