Duckie at The RVT: Saturday 1 December
Duckie is not only London’s favourite alternative pop night out, it’s also at the centre of a host of amazing community projects.
Last Saturday we were at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern to see the Duckie team launch their ambitious LGBTQ history project called Princess, don’t panic it’s got nothing to do with Disney! Duckie host Amy Lamé was on hand to introduce historian E-J Scott who is leading this two year exploration of 18th Century queer culture. This being Duckie we were treated to a gorgeous queer striptease circa 1700, plus of course dazzling pop music from Readers Wifes and a brilliant crowd, who now get to party to the later opening time of 4am every week!
