Mother’s Best at The RVT

This Sunday (3 Feb) is the launch of an exciting new monthly party at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern. Mother’s Best is from the team behind Beefmince and will feature a marvellous line-up of cabaret talent every month, including this week, Drag Idol champ Tracy Barlow and cabaret maverick Dusty Limits, plus there’s music from DJs Silverhook and Johnny Kalifonia. Thirst Trap at Above The Stag

Dating in 2019 can be a genuine minefield and James Barr shares our pain.  MTV presenter, comedian, co-host of podcast A Gay And A NonGay, and tragically single, James unleashes a hilarious attempt to finally meet The One with Thirst Trap in the Studio at Above The Stag. Mondays at Halfway

There’s something gorgeous on every single night at Halfway II Heaven, with cabaret and karaoke, including marvellous acts on a Monday at 8.30pm. Here’s what’s coming up in February, starting with, this Monday (4 Feb) it’s Marsha Mallow, followed by Poppycock on the 11th, Vanity Nightmare on the 18th and on Monday 25th it’s the lovely Krystal Ball.

Karaoke at The Yard, Coventry

If you are in or near Coventry at any time we recommend a visit to The Yard wheres there’s always something fabulous going on. This Thursday (31 Jan) it’s Karaoke with hosts Jupiter and Minerva from 9pm and everyone that enters gets a free shot, guaranteed to loosen up those vocal cords.

Flirtura Launch Party

Ruggercub kicks off at The Brewers

This Friday (1 Feb) those frisky rugger buggers from the Kings Cross Steelers are celebrating the launch of the Six Nations rugby championship with a specially themed Ruggercub at The Two Brewers. Get there early, by 8pm and you can watch the France v. Wales match live, and then at 11pm it’s Lip Sync War hosted by Marsha Mallow.

Deptford Festival opens

Kicking off this Friday (1 Feb) for the whole month is the Deptford Heritage Festival, a not-for-profit series of fascinating events that raises money for local homeless people. There’s talks and local tours and much more including the play Liberty about civil rights activist Kath Duncan starring Alex Reid from 14 February. Details and tickets at kathduncan.com

This weekend, John and his gang at The Old Ship in Limehouse have two of our favourite ladies of the night gracing the stage. On Saturday (2 Feb) it’s the one and only Lola Lasagne serving up big laughs and classic songs and on Sunday, making a welcome return it’s Dame Julie Paid, giving us songs and laughs galore.

See the Light at Ku

Not only is Sundowners the most fun you can have in Margate, with its lively crowd and mega-friendly welcome, but this Saturday (2 Feb) they have the totally fabulous, totally gorgeous and we suspect possibly a bit mad, Mary Mac. The tartan tart is on stage at 11pm, get their early!

As always, there’s a fine selection of darling acts at The George and Dragon in Greenwich this weekend, starting on Thursday (31 Jan) with Mrs Moore and Ian Parker on the ol’ Joanna. Friday (1 Feb) is Myra DuBois, Saturday Mrs Moore’s back and on Sunday it’s the triple threat of Mary Mac, Miss Jason and Tanya Hyde.

Late fun at The Rose and Crown
