Queer London is the exciting new LGBTQ+ party happening this Saturday at the gorgeous Fest in Camden. The multi-room venue is going to be packed out with amazing DJs and performers with something for everyone. Dave Cross spoke to promoter Nicola Chubb to find out more.
Hi Nicola, we are very excited about the launch of Queer London at Fest in Camden, what’s the concept behind the party?
We wanted to host a party where all people from the LGBTQ+ community can party together and we wanted a diverse mix of DJs and performers involved.
And this is a party of all LGBTQ+ folk?
Absolutely everyone is welcome, and their straight allies.
What can you tell us about the venue?
Fest is a multi-faceted venue sitting inside a 200-year-old Horse Hospital right In the heart of Camden’s Stables Market. The historic building has an inimitable charm and is a perfect party venue. There are four bars, seven ex-stables turned into party rooms. There’s the Birdcage and the central dance room with stage, there is also a large heated terrace with bar, in the summer months they have an open air cinema too.
Please tell us about the music in the different rooms?
There’s house music in the main room with DJs MisWhite, James Bartlett, El Conchitas, Yvette Lindquist and French Kiss. In the Stables we have R&B, and hip-hop with Mark-Ashley Dupé, QBoy, Misty B, Elle Ledge, Izzy Trixx. For the earlier part of the night we have latin night Exilio in the Birdcage with Bombshell’s Tasty Tim and Lady Lloyd taking over later along with performers, Brandy Mandella, Diamond Daniels and Honey Foxx.
What about other performers?
We are super-excited to have the sexy and slick House of Androgyny on the stage and aerial performances with the talented Jordan Revell.
