There really is something for everyone at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern this weekend starting on Thursday (25 Apr) when they open their Drag Idol 2019 account with their first heat hosted by previous champion Son of a Tutu. There’s two events on Friday, starting at 7pm with
An Evening Without Kate Bush, a theatrical tribute to the UK’s finest female singer/songwriter, starring Sarah Louise Young, and that is followed at 10pm by pop kings Push The Button with Born To Make You Happy, a night in celebration of Britney Spears. Saturday night is the all powerful Duckie with Readers Wifes and guests Jess Love, Lucy McCormick and C&A. The weekend comes to a glittering shimmering climax on Sunday when Queens of Cabaret welcomes back the flame retardant northern songbird Myra DuBois with DJs Simon Le Vans and Sean Sirrs. Ku Bar’s new ad campaign

We love the cool ad campaigns that the team at Ku Group bring us and PR manager and Boyz Award-winning host Stefanos has given us a sneak peek of their really rather gorgeous new imagery that you will soon see all over social media. Don’t forget that all the venues – Ku Leicester Square including Klub and Light Lounge, Little Ku and She Soho – are open seven days a week.

Last few days of Queereteria TV

Queereteria TV is the musical starring Andy Bell set in a post-apocalypse TV studio at Above The Stag. The show is quite unlike anything else we’ve ever seen and features a standout performance from Matthew Baldwin as Lady Domina Bizarre. It’s running all this week and finishes on Sunday (28 Apr). Dr Ballcrusher beams into The Yard Coventry

This Friday (26 Apr) the cabaret at The Yard in Coventry will be out of this world when Dr Beverly Ballcrusher beams into the glorious venue. You can expect big laughs and song where no one has gone before. 

Ye Olde Rose and Crown fundraiser

Drag With No Name and Son of a Tutu will both be at Ye Olde Rose and Crown this Sunday (28 Apr) in Greenwich from 6pm. They are helping the venue raise cash for Metro Centre, the local HIV and LGBT youth charity.

Head to The Brewers

There’s a super package of cabaret treats at the Two Brewers this weekend starting on Thursday (25 Apr) with the hilarious and rather sexy Tanya Hyde. Friday is Ball with the Kings Cross Steelers, Danny Beard and Miss Jason while on Saturday it’s the marvellous Brenda LeBeau in the Cabaret Bar with Demon while DJ Chris Brogan is in the Club Bar. The weekend peaks on Sunday with the Power of Four when Miss Jason, Sandra, Myra DuBois and Mary Mac bring us their cabaret wares.

Rupert Street Bubbly

This Saturday (27 Apr) the team at the gorgeous new look Rupert Street in Soho will be raffling £500 worth of Champagne in support of The Food Chain from 7pm.  Make a donation to be in with a chance at grabbing a bottle of bubbly plus the always fizzing,
 DJ Tasty Tim will be on those decks.

Three amazing acts at The Old Ship

There’s three nights of fabulous cabaret this weekend at The Old Ship in Limehouse kicking off on Friday (26 Apr) with Drag Idol winner Danny Beard. Saturday night it’s the frankly bonkers Drag With No Name and on Sunday, it’s London Marathon day, which goes close by the venue and they have Wilma Ballsdrop performing.

Pat at Sundowners

We love a trip to the seaside and if that means ending up in Sundowners in Margate then even better. This Saturday (27 Apr) the cabaret is supplied by the very funny and very lovely Pat Clutcher on stage at 11pm.

Treats at CMYK

If you haven’t checked out CMYK in Wimbledon yet, then get a shift on and mince down there this weekend. They have cabaret from Miss Minnie Bar on Friday (26 Apr) and Shane O’Shea on Saturday plus DJs, drinks deals and the lovely host Carmen Getit. Get all the info from barcmyk.co.uk

This Saturday (27 Apr) those gorgeous boys, girls and non binary babes at Circa The Club will be throwing shapes on the dancefloor like their lives depend on it because the gorgeous mega club is open late till 5am. Get a bus to and from Brighton Pride

The lovely people at Brighton Pride have now sorted a way to get from London and other locations direct to Preston Park and back again for Brighton Pride this year on the first weekend of August. Event Travel Hub have a network of pick up locations across the South, London and selected locations to transport Pride visitors safely to and from Pride 2019. Fun at The White Swan

This weekend is all go at the White Swan in Limehouse including on Saturday (27 Apr) Boyz Award-winner KY Kelly will be bringing the big cabaret laughs and then on Sunday (28 Apr) the venue is open all day as the London Marathon passes right by and they will have food available.

Glitter in the Darkroom
