Something for everyone at The White Swan

There’s loads on offer at The White Swan in Limehouse with club nights, cabaret, a fun East End crowd and much more. This week includes Miss Ross’s Bona Bona Bingo on Wednesday (1 May) when you can win cash and booze (hoorah!), on Thursday it’s CJ’s Sing-a-Long and Friday is club fun with DJ Aaran Bader. On Saturday (4 May) it’s the return of the totally camp and totally brilliant DJ and host Jason Prince spinning the pop hits till 4am.

Two shows at Above The Stag

Above The Stag, located on the Albert Embankment in Vauxhall, is the UK’s only full time LGBT+ theatre and has been voted Boyz reader’s favourite theatre venue for the past three years. From this Friday (3 May) in the main theatre you can see Boom Bang-a-Bang, Jonathan Harvey’s Eurovision comedy and from Wednesday (8 May) in the studio theatre it’s the return of Fanny and Stella, the heartbreaking and hilarious true story of Victorian London’s gay performers. Baga and Charlie at CMYK

This Friday (3 May) the team at CMYK, Wimbledon’s brilliant new LGBT+ venue are girding their loins as they prepare for the arrival of the force of nature that is Baga Chipz! They will be doubling the security around the strong liquor as the queen of elegance makes her debut at the venue. On Saturday  the one and only Charlie Hides is back and on Sunday you get Queen Kitty Monroe at 6.30pm and the beautiful Rose Garden at 10.30pm plus amazing DJs all weekend – and drink deals from 5pm each day.

Miss Marty is back at The Yard Coventry

All weekends are fabulous at The Yard in Coventry but you know that bank holidays are even more fab and this one kicks off on Friday (3 May) with the return of the brilliant Miss Marty as your cabaret star.

Friendly Society Drag Bingo 

On Bank Holiday Sunday (5 May) the team at The Friendly Society in Soho present a special session of Drag Bingo from 6pm. Hosted by Lady Mary Love Muscle and Venus Everest, it’s just £5 for three cards and promises to be great fun with prizes too!

Four stars at The Old Ship

For the May Day weekend John and his team at The Old Ship in Limehouse have four big name acts gracing the much loved stage. It starts on Friday (3 May) with the unsinkable Myra DuBois followed on Saturday by the equally calm and sedate Sandra. Sunday sees soul music duo Heart & Soul delivering the hits and on Bank Holiday Monday the whole thing climaxes with the one and only Lola Lasagne.

New play Swimming at the White Bear Theatre

Swimming, a new play by Alex Bower, is on this week at the White Bear Theatre, SE11 until Saturday (4 May). It tells the story of Dan who leaves his long term girlfriend and unexpectedly falls for a man he meets while swimming. The play is about break-ups, sexuality and the challenge of forging a new identity. Tickets available from whitebeartheatre.co.uk

Relax at Chariots

Bank holiday weekends can be hard work, endless parties, a ton of hot guys, and the occasional small sherry. Rupert Street in Soho has always been a gorgeous venue and now it’s even more cool following it’s recent makeover. Jock Night at King’s Head Theatre
