Cabaret at Sundowners

Sundowners is the oasis of crazy in the Kent seaside town of Margate and we love it there. There’s always something fun going on and for the August Bank Holiday weekend they have Pat Clutcher on Saturday (24 Aug) and live music from Feryl on the Sunday. The following weekend they also have two amazing acts with The Vivienne on Friday (30 Aug) and Charlie Hides as Lisa Q Jones on the Saturday.

Tasty Tim at Rupert Street

We are pleased to report that you can now get more of the gorgeous new look Rupert Street as it’s open late every Saturday in August, plus they have DJ Tasty Tim. Don’t forget they have Happy Hour every day until 8pm with two of their amazing cocktails for £12 or a bottle of Champagne for just £25. We say hurrah!

Treat yourself at The Old Ship

John and his gang at The Old Ship in Limehouse know a thing or two about excellent cabaret acts, just look at this line-up. For the Bank Holiday weekend they have Miss Jason on Saturday (24 Aug), Miss Ross on the Sunday and for Bank Holiday Monday it’s Davina Sparkle and as if that wasn’t enough the following Saturday (31 Aug) it’s the lovely Miss Terry Tour.

Drag night special at Missing Bar

Missing Bar is one of Birmingham’s most popular venues and they will be packed out all over the Bank Holiday weekend, and undoubtedly the jewel in their tiara is the Sunday (25 Aug). They will be celebrating a decade of their infamous drag night with a line-up which includes Twiggy, Amy LaQueefa, The Divine Miss M, Jenna Davinci, Dahliah Rivers, Jay Andre, Elliot Barnicle, Gavina and Donna Trump and they are raising money for West Midlands Positive.

The White Swan’s Birthday Weekend

Fancy some East End larks? Us too, so we’re heading to the White Swan where this whole Bank Holiday weekend they are celebrating their 34th birthday.   Thursday you get the brilliant Open Mic night with CJ and on Friday it’s DJ Aaran Bader. Saturdays belong to the glorious Miss Prince and her Kamp Klub and this week (24 Aug) for the big birthday she is joined by the outrageous Sandra. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Jimmy Smith’s Birthday bash

Jimmy Smith, guv’nor at The Two Brewers, will be throwing a big birthday bash on Sunday 15 September at the Clapham cabaret powerhouse and we are all invited. Acts will include, Myra DuBois, Miss Penny, Lola Lasagne, Danny Beard, CK, KY Kelly and more.

Backstreet Unzipped

Backstreet is the infamous fetish club located in Mile End, known the world over for its full on leather and rubber nights. But on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 6pm and 10pm things get a tad more relaxed… quite a bit more actually. On Wednesdays the code is totally naked, apart from boots or trainers and on Saturdays it’s a relaxed dress code party where anything goes apart from ‘ordinary casual clothes’. Both nights it’s £8 on the door and that includes a free drink and coat check.

Summer of Love at The Yard Coventry

There’s still plenty of heat left in this summer and the team at The Yard in Coventry are throwing a massive two day outside party called Summer of Love for the Bank Holiday. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 August they will have an amazing line-up of local and national cabaret talent and the actual Cheeky Girls and S Club on the Saturday plus some amazing tribute acts on the Sunday, all performing on that huge outside stage and entry is free!

Your Admiral Bank Holiday

There’s a ton and a half of hilarious cabaret for the Bank Holiday weekend at The Admiral Duncan. On Friday (23 Aug) it’s Crystal d’Canter, Stephanie Von Clitz and Tanya Hyde, Saturday they have a fundraiser for The Food Chain with Wilma Ballsdrop, Dr Woof and Vivienne Lynsey while Sunday it’s all about Chipz… Baga Chipz obviously and on the Bank Holiday Monday Sum Ting Wong is your karaoke host.

Victoria’s 10th Birthday Party

There’s always a warm welcome at The Victoria in Walthamstow and this Saturday (24 Aug) there’s a band playing called the Swift Beats. The following Saturday (31 Aug) it’s the 10th anniversary for their LGBT Saturday nights and promotor Pixie is promising us a fun night with cabaret acts and suprises.

Rose and Crown

Ye Olde Rose & Crown in Greenwich is now under new management and they are kicking off with their own Pride celebration for the Bank Holiday weekend. Friday (23 Aug) is their mega popular 80s night and on Saturday it’s ‘Late’. On the Sunday there’s cabaret from hot newcomer Shyanna O’Shea at 5pm. And, don’t worry if you’re a musical theatre fan as their Showtune Tuesdays are not going anywhere, all your favourite songs from The Sound of Music to Hamilton.

It’s behind you at Above The Stag

It’s the middle of Summer… so what better time than to first mention the C word in Boyz this year. Yep, sorry but Christmas is coming and the team at Above The Stag already have tickets on sale for this year’s panto, Pinocchio – No Strings Attached. The Stag’s pantos are always hilarious and a tad saucy, so get those tickets now at abovethestag.com
