Set against the backdrop of the #MeToo movement in 2017, Velvet is the story of Tom, a struggling actor who is faced with a moral dilemma.
After years of disappointment Tom is offered a golden opportunity, a chance to realise his dream of being a successful actor, but is it worth what he will have to sacrifice? Velvet explores the complex realities of harassment within the industry from a gay male perspective.
Velvet, written by and starring Tom Radcliffe, was a smash hit at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival where it won Theatre Weekly’s ‘Outstanding Monologue’ in the Festival for last year and gained a host of rave reviews.
