Todrick Hall, Haus Party at the London Palladium: Review by Stephen Vowles

To say Todrick Hall is an enthusiastic performer and vibrant entertainer would be an understatement. The man’s boundless energy and command of the huge London Palladium stage was exhilarating. He went from number to number backed by dancers that enabled him to make a series of costume changes that were also spectacular. Hall’s clever use of video playback and a light show just added to the impressive staging that sent the crowd – who were clearly ardent fans – into a frenzy.

Hall also delivered midset a heartfelt personal message about life, love and the trials and tribulations that just being ‘you’ can present. With the likes of Beyoncé admiring his showmanship, Todrick Hall is destined to reach superstar status in a very short period of time.

Supported by Marisha Wallace whose renditions of various Whitney tunes and the big torch song number from Dreamgirls “And I Am Telling You”, the stage was set for a memorable high octane wigs and weaves,  booty popping concert where both artists delivered powerhouse vocals that clearly presented them as true forces of nature. Mesmerising!
