Continuing on from our major editorial on the launch of the nhow London hotel back in March – check out Boyz issue 1456 on the Boyz website – we had to delay our review of the special nights at the Bell and Whistle restaurant due to the Covid lockdown. However, the hotel is now open, so Stephen Vowles popped along to this fabulous, quirky and unique new hotel in East London to check it out.
Whilst the Bell and Whistle restaurant may be shut at the moment, a full and rather scrumptious bar menu is available. I enjoyed their take on the classic Caesar Salad with beautiful and full of flavour anchovies partnered with, just how I like them, partly boiled eggs dusted with parmesan shavings and accompanied with rather yummy fries and the compulsory mayo dusted with brown pepper. My meal was washed down with a very quaffable Chardonnay cooled to perfection and very refreshing. The inventive, ever stylish, glamorous and spacious lobby – that also happens to feature my chair of the month – is hoping to be staging their regular sax and DJs on a Friday soon.
