This week Oliver and the team at the Admiral Duncan are celebrating five years of being an amazing cabaret venue at the beating heart of London’s gay scene. They’ve chosen a 90s retro theme for the anniversary with a series of mash ups and rave inspired parties with the venue open late every night. Here’s what on the playlist!
Miss Sandra
Thursday 23 February
Yes, it’s a total cabaret mash up as two of the scene’s most quiet and demure girls form an unholy double act. Sandra, the Dunky’s queen of Thursday nights, welcomes Northern star Miss Penny to the stage – lock up your sons and the drinks cabinet.
Pre-Rave
Friday 24 February
Thank Dunky it’s Friday when they kick off the weekend with a Pre-Rave warm up. The self declared Siren of South Yorkshire Myra DuBois will be leading the party posse along with the Admiral’s Drag Idol finalists Fanny Burns and Sum Ting Wong.
Old Skool Rave
Saturday 25 February
Get out your glow sticks and luminous body paint as four drag superstars take to the stage for the Admiral’s big Saturday night furore. Tonight you get Tanya Hyde, Son of a Tutu, Mrs Moore and Sandra plus great music and a dedicated party crowd.
The 5 Year Free Party
Sunday 26 February
We’ve had two, three and four so this Sunday the Dunky presents five amazing acts to celebrate five amazing years. Leading the charge is their very own Sunday girl Baga Chipz alongside Trindy, Coco Pop, Bear Did Lady and Sum Ting Wong. Happy anniversary guys!
