7 Days: XXL Leather, Popcorn K.I.N.K. and Bucks Fizz at the RVT

XXL Leather

If the thought of a club packed with frisky bears and blokes gets you hot under the collar, just imagine what happens when they start dressing in chaps, shorts and harnesses! And this Saturday (11 Mar) at Pulse it’s XXL Leather when not only do you get all this hotness but also Italian superstar DJ Pagano. Woof indeed.

Raven at G-A-Y Porn Idol

It’s always exciting when a RuPaul’s Drag Race star makes her debut as guest judge at G-A-Y Porn Idol: that look on their face is priceless about three minutes in when they realise it is not a contest for professional hot male strippers! And this Thursday (9 Mar) the marvellous Raven, who was runner up on the main show and All Stars, will be on that glittering sofa with Mary Mac and Baga Chipz. If you want to strip for them, send a message to 07789 553 868.

Let’s get Fizz-ical

This Thursday (9 Mar) the mighty Bucks Fizz will be performing live for the first time at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. The line up includes original members Mike Nolan, Jay Aston and Cheryl Baker, and the night will be packed with classic pop hits including Making Your Mind Up, Land of Make Believe, My Camera Never Lies, New Beginning and loads more. Book your tickets now via vauxhalltavern.com.

Jeremy’s big challenge

This Sunday (12 Mar) Jeremy Joseph kicks off his 2017 Six Event Challenge fundraising for the Elton John AIDS Foundation when he makes light work of the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon. All he needs you to do is make a donation and it’s very easy – just go to virginmoney/giving.com/fund/g-a-y.

Popcorn K.I.N.K

Nadim and those bad boys at Heaven do like to get down and dirty every now and then on a Monday, and this week (13 Mar) you can indulge at Popcorn K.I.N.K. S&M is the name of the game with the help of choreographers Connor Clifford and Kevin Jack, plus you get sizzling beats from those hot DJs including guest Jamie Hammond.

Enriched at the Brewers

Enriched is one of our favourite club nights at the Two Brewers and it’s back for more house music shenanigans this Friday (10 Mar). Expect DJs Rich B and Phil Marriott in the Club Bar while in the Cabaret Bar you get the marvellous Lola Lasagne.

Club CP turns 17

This Tuesday (14 Mar) those bad boys at Club CP will be celebrating 17 years of men only parties featuring an array of corporal punishment. The fun starts at 7pm and is at The Bunker, 217 City Road, London, EC1V 1JN.

Polari at the Light Lounge

London’s award-winning LGBT literary salon Polari is back at the Light Lounge on Monday (13 Mar) as part of this year’s London Book and Screen Week. Hosted by Paul Burston, expect a night of chat and cocktails with readings from the fantastic Sophia Blackwell, Christopher Fowler and VG Lee.

If you could turn back time…

Queer City: London Club Culture 1918 – 1967 is a unique collaboration between the National Trust and The National Archives that gives you the chance to visit a recreation of ‘London’s most bohemian rendezvous’. The Caravan, once a queer-friendly members club, runs until Sunday 26 March at the Freud Café-Bar at 198 Shaftesbury Avenue, on almost the exact site of the original club. Booking tickets is a must at nationaltrust.org.uk/queer-city-london.

Strike it lucky

The London Lads are back for another night of ten-pin bowling at London Palace Superbowl in Elephant and Castle this Wednesday (15 Mar). Just £13 gets you two games of bowling plus a voucher for an alcoholic drink. Get there for 7pm.
