Patti Boulaye at Crazy Coqs: Review by Stephen Vowles

Patti Boulaye is one of the most sultry, beguiling, smooth, magical chanteuse on the cabaret scene. Her vocal range is stunning. Easily switching from Bizet to Diana Ross, captivating her audience as she does. The show at the ultra glam venue Crazy Coqs was just stunning, pure class and like the lyric from Cole Porter: “Just one of those things, a trip to the moon on gossamer wings.”

The range of material of the songs selected showcased all the different aspects of where Patti has clearly been influenced: You Can’t Hurry Love, Back In My Arms Again, Do You Know Where You’re Going To, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Comin’ Out and Stop! In The Name Of Love.

And at the end of both acts, there was beyond any doubt a rapturous applause and a standing ovation, especially for her rendition of Nessun Dorma, which was very much deserved. Huge praise indeed,

This show saw the start of a national tour.

Total glam.
