London Never Dies: Review by Stephen Vowles

Boyz restaurant and theatre critic Stephen Vowles combines his two passions with a visit to London’s newest cabaret showcase, the James Bond themed London Never Dies.

A good night where the dining experience and the cabaret on show are both fantastic is rare, but with the London Never Dies show at the London Cabaret Club this is not in question as the evening is an astounding hit and deservedly so.

With a very careful and structured plan to the evening, expectant diners relaxed in the opulence of the bar and sipped dry martinis. Why? Because the theme of the cabaret was Mr 007 himself, James Bond.

The pre-dinner hour was wonderful as our host, the very attentive John Murphy, made sure we were having a glorious time. Soon after the doors swung open to reveal a dining room that looked liked it was from a movie set, where mirrored walls reflected a large stage. The show programme consisted of very sexy dancers and singers who pay tribute the Bond themes. Performances were superb and the speed of the action-packed night was partnered beautifully by the delivery of the food, with a timely break allowing for waiting staff to present the gourmet food in an unrushed manner.

This is an incredible night out of pure sophistication and a true mind-blowing 4D sensory experience. Get your glad rags on and treat yourself to a night of pure indulgence!

London Never Dies is at The London Cabaret Club, Victoria House, Bloomsbury Square, WC1B 4DA. For tickets, call 020 7242 0002 or visit thelondoncabaretclub.com.
