Brighton Pride: Friday 4th to Sunday 6th August

Brighton Pride is the sensational seaside celebration that defines the LGBT summer and this year’s event looks like being the biggest and best yet. You get the Parade, the Park, the Pleasure Gardens, the Street Party and there’s loads – and we do mean loads – of other stuff too. Here’s a look at just some of the highlights.

The Pride Community Parade

Saturday 5 August, starts at 11am at Hove Lawns

The Brighton Pride Community Parade Carnival of Diversity is a vision of hope, unity and love. It is a hugely enjoyable life-affirming event that brings together the city of Brighton with a spellbinding mix of music, floats, bands, costumes and dancing. There is no better way to start your Pride Day.

Pride Festival at Preston Park

Saturday 5 August, midday to 10pm

The dazzling centrepiece of the day is the Pride Festival in Preston Park that has absolutely everything you could want from a Pride. You get the Wild Fruit Summer of Love Big Top, Urban World, Mens and Bears Zone, DIVA Girls World, Legends Cabaret Big Top, Sheila McWattie Women’s Performance Stage, Trans Tent, the OneFamily Diversity Area, Pride Marketplace, Community Village, funfair and, of course, the huge main stage. The line up this year is nothing short of sensational and includes the Pet Shop Boys, Years & Years, Louisa Johnson, M.O, Becky Hill, Fickle Friends, KStewart and more.

Pride Pleasure Gardens

Friday 4 – Sunday 6 August   

The Pride Pleasure Gardens will see the Old Steine and Victoria Gardens transformed into a unique Pride experience for three days and nights of fierce fun, saucy wonders, camp pop, stunning cabaret, sensational live performances, cool DJs and hot clubbing.

 

Pride Village Party

Friday 4 – Sunday 6 August   

The Pride Village Party returns for a weekend of sensational community celebrations at the heart of the city. With over 22 bars and venues throughout the St James Street area joining the party and Maderia Drive closed to traffic, expect a truly spectacular seafront party location.

Pride Community Day and Pride Dog Show

Sunday 30 July, from midday at Preston Park

This is a celebration of community and a free day of fabulous fun at Preston Park. A day filled with perfect paws, wagging tails, sporting fun, zinging zumba, food, drink and loads of community stalls.
