Drag Idol Reporter at the Two Brewers: Wednesday 31st May
Drag Idol Reporter was at the Two Brewers heat final last week to witness the marvellous Cazelon become the Brewers’ 2017 champ ahead of stiff competition from the other acts in front of a lively crowd.
Last Saturday was the first semi-final at a packed Eden in Birmingham hosted by previous winner La Voix and with Kerry Katona as guest judge. The winner was Shania Pain from OMG in Sheffield and she becomes the first 2017 finalist.
This week there are two more Drag Idol semi-finals, on Thursday (8 Jun) at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern you can see Marsha Mallow for Halfway II Heaven, Ginny Lemon for Eden, Polly Hardon for The Victoria, Veronica Montenegro for the Admiral Duncan, Veronica Green for OMG Bristol, Brenda LaCreme for The Old Ship and Gingzilla representing Her Upstairs.
The next evening, Friday 9 June at Halfway II Heaven, the judges and you will see Tracy Barlow from the RVT, Polly Amorous from Mary’s Cardiff, Stevie Knickers from OMG Plymouth, Miss Treated from Charles Street Brighton, Aura-J from Quay Pride Yarmouth and Luke Warm representing Central Station. And, as if that wasn’t all too exciting already, the following Wednesday (14 Jun) is the Wild Card semi-final at the Admiral Duncan when the fourth finalist will be chosen.
The winners of these semis will join Shania in the grand final which is at the Two Brewers on Friday 30 June.
