The 49 at Theatre N16, Balham

The 49 is a poignant new play by Gary Thomas which takes place before the Orlando gay nightclub massacre in June 2016 and up to the night when 49 people were murdered by a single gunman. The play explores sexuality, identity and what it is to be safe in a modern world.

Directed by Theatre N16 deputy artistic director Courtney Larkin and produced by executive director Jamie Eastlake, the cast includes Aaron Douglas (Inventive Sabotage Theatre Company), Harold Addo (Treasure Island, Iris Theatre) and Yasmine Holness-Dove (The Apprentice and The Young Apprentice).
